1. HOW DO I PRONOUNCE THE NAME?

Answer: dI kuh:  The I is a “Long I” sound.

2. MY PAD IS BENDING, IS IT DEFECTIVE?

Answer: No, your pad is not defective.  You are enjoying the benefit of the H.D. Industrial UHMW-based plastic that will bend but not break.  The great news is your pad has a memory where it will return to straight or near straight on its own within a short period of time.

DICA’s pads are two-sided so you can also flip the pad over and use the other side.  This also will straighten the pad out immediately, if it is necessary.

We have had end users bend the pads as much as 30 or 40 degrees with no issues.  The pad is still doing it’s job and creating a safe environment for you and your customers.

3. IS THERE A WARRANTY ON YOUR PRODUCT?

Answer: ABSOLUTELY.  With the DICA Outrigger Pads we have a guarantee of “If You Can Break it, We’ll Replace It” for the life of the pad.  This means that if your pad breaks or cracks under normal working conditions we will replace the pad at no cost to you whether you have had the pad for 12 months, 5 years or longer.  We stand behind our product and having been making pads since 1988 so we have the longevity behind our claim.   

4. I’VE NOTICED YOUR PRICES ARE HIGHER THAN SOME OF THE OTHER SUPPLIERS OUT THERE?  WHY?

Answer: DICA, like everyone, has competitors and in some cases those who try to replicate our products.  Therefore one must be very careful to compare apples to apples, to quote an old saying.  DICA created the very first heavy duty industrial outrigger pad from UHMW-based material, more than a decade ago, after a great deal of R&D -- engineering and research. 

To date DICA is the only "Engineered, Quantifiable and Specifically Rated outrigger pad," on the market today.  Secondly DICA is the only pad that offers a "Safety Textured Surface" standard on all outrigger, dunnage and RV Jack pad products.

6. HOW DO I DETERMINE THE CORRECT SIZE FOR MY OUTRIGGER AND DUNNAGE PAD NEEDS?

Answer: Most regulatory authorities and DICA recommend at a minimum the Outrigger Pad should be three times the square inch area of the Outrigger Foot (i.e., 12"X14"=168 sq. in. X 3 = 504 sq. in.). Please refer to the standard size charts for the correct pads. Also, it is imperative that you consider Ground Conditions each and every time you set up. 3x the Area is a rule of thumb but depending on your ground conditions you should consider a greater footprint. Please note that DICA is not responsible for selecting the correct size pad for your equipment or for the ground conditions you may face.
