Link
20 is a battery monitor that provides complete battery status
information for two battery banks simultaneously. A simple and
easy-to-use interface displays volts, amps, amp hours, or operating time
remaining. Link 20 allows you to select Automatic, Sleep and Scanning
modes. Link 20 also measures and reports kilowatt hours and historical
battery information such as number of cycles, deepest discharge, and
average depth of discharge. It automatically calculates and displays
charging efficiency. Since each battery bank has its own battery state
LED bar graph, the status of either battery bank can be monitored at a
glance. Monitor a house bank and starting bank or two house bank
batteries at the same time. Link 20 can be used with 12 or 24-volt
systems.
Link 20 Features
User
Interface with Graphic and Digital Displays
Link
20's splash-proof front panel allows for hands free operation and
performs over 50 different functions. Major functions include:
1. Four
multi-colored LED Bar Graph displays battery state-of-charge at a glance
for a single battery.
2. A DC Volt display shows specific battery voltage information on the
battery bank.
3. A DC Amp display shows the present flow of current in or out of the
battery. It displays net amps drawn from the battery for various loads
and the charge rate from the charging source.
4. An Amp Hour display shows amp hours consumed. This represents the
amount of energy removed from the battery. During battery charging Link
20 compensates for charging efficiency of the battery as it counts back
towards 0. Range + 0-1,999.
5. A Time Remaining display provides an estimate of how long a battery
can be operated at present load until Link 20 indicates the battery is
completely discharged. This is based on a selectable, time-averaged rate
of discharge. Range + 0-255.
6. A Select (SEL) button changes a numeric display from volts, to amps
to amp hours to time remaining.
7. A Set (SET) button provides entry to the Set Up and Advanced
Functions modes.

Alternative Energy, Sleep and Kilowatt Hour display modes.
Easy
Installation
Link's patented ratchet ring mounting hardware makes installation easy
and fast. The gasket around Link 20 ensures a rattle-free installation.
Complete installation instructions come with each Link 20 including
instructions for high voltage systems found in electric vehicles.
Historical Data Display
Link 20 displays key historical battery information such as charge
efficiency, deepest discharge, and average discharge.
Front
Panel Software Lock
Link 20's Front Panel Software Lock prevents other users from changing
set up parameters.
Custom Dual Shunt (included)
A dual precision shunt comes with each Link 20. The shunt is a one
hundred micro ohm resistor wired into the negative terminal of both
batteries. Link 20 senses very small voltage measurements across the
shunt one thousand times second in order to calculate average current.
Heavy-duty shunts are available for currents that exceed 500 Amps.
