Link
2000 is a two-bank battery monitor with remote control for your Freedom
Inverter / Charger. A simple and easy-to-use interface provides precise
information on amp hours, kilowatt hours and historical battery
information including number of cycles, deepest discharge, and average
depth of discharge. Link 2000 automatically calculates charging
efficiency.
Link
2000 and Freedom Inverters / Chargers communicate with each other via a
standard 4 conductor telephone cable. This allows you to program four
different battery types, battery temperature, AC power sharing and the
inverter's idle mode sensitivity. The Freedom Inverter / Charger will
also pass information to Link 2000's display such as error codes and
charger status. Link 2000 also allows you to operate the Inverter /
Charger remotely from the panel. Link 2000 can be used for 12 or 24-volt
systems.

2000 Features
Displays for DC Monitoring and Inverter / Charger Control
Link 2000's splash proof digital display provides complete battery
state-of-charge information for two battery banks while controlling your
Freedom Inverter / Charger. Major functions include:
1. An
INVERT button that allows you to turn the inverter on or off
independently of the charger.
2. A
CHARGE button that allows you to turn the charger on or off. When AC
power is present, the charger will charge unless it is shut off.
3. A SET
UP button that provides access to the Set Up and Advanced Features
modes. Each Set Up function is noted in small text below each of the
button's primary functions.
4. A DC
Volt display relays specific battery voltage information for the
selected battery bank.
5. A DC
Amp display shows the present net flow of current into and out of the
battery. It displays net amps drawn from the battery for various loads
and the charge rate from the charging sources.
6. An
Amp Hour display relays amp hours consumed. This represents the amount
of energy removed from the battery. During battery charging, Link 2000
compensates for charging efficiency of the battery as it counts back
towards 0. Range + 0-1,999.
7. A
Time Remaining display provides an estimate of how long a battery can be
operated at present load until Link 2000 indicates the battery is
completely discharged. This is based on a selectable, time-averaged rate
of discharge. Range + 0-255.
8. BAT 1
or BAT 2 indicates the battery bank that is being monitored.
9.
Multi-colored LEDs indicate when AC is present and the different charger
stages of the Freedom Inverter / Charger including, Charge, Accept and
Float.
Programmable Advanced Functions
Customize Link 2000 to perform specialized functions such as setting
Alternative Energy, Sleep and Kilowatt Hour display modes. Make
programmable adjustments to the Freedom Inverter / Charger directly from
the front panel.
Easy
Installation
Link 2000's surface mount design simplifies installation. Complete
installation instructions come with each Link 2000 including
instructions for high voltage systems.
Historical Data Display
Display key historical battery information such as charge efficiency,
deepest discharge, and average discharge.
Custom Dual Shunt (included)
A custom dual shunt is included with each Link 2000. The shunt is a one
hundred micro ohm resistor wired into the negative terminal of each
battery bank. Link 2000 senses very small voltage measurements across
the shunt one thousand times per second in order to calculate average
current.
